Default TomTom GO910 Map v720.1868 Upgrade - My Dummies Guide

TomTom GO910 Map v720.1868 Upgrade - My Dummies Guide

Here are the steps I took to upgarde my TomTom GO910 maps from v650 to v720. This does not mean it will work for you.

I have compiled the files I used and compressed them into one folder with my own steps to what I did.

I am no GPS guru and don't claim to be. Use my guide at your own risk. If you stuff your GPS, please don't try to sue me for my house.

After weeks of reading and downloading heaps of useless maps and other utilities with no luck, I finally found software which did the job.

    My old map was v650.xxxx
    My new map is v720.1868

    My TomTom Specs now :
    Device XXXXX XXXXX
    App 7.162 (8492/071121) OS:2327
61 MB RAM (free: 28.3 MB)
    GPS v1.21, Boot 4.8600
    Map: 'Australia' v720.1868

    Files :
    Code:

If anyone requires the 'meta' and 'dct' file for their upgrade using the software I used, just send me a pm with your Device #.

Then all you have to do is add these two files to your v720 map folder before loading onto your TomTom. This will eliminate you having to stuff around with getting keygens working on your end.

    Hi Newton,

We are neighbours mate, I'm in Mt Warrigal

I'm not familiar with your machine.

If you are confident that you can backup your machine and then reinstall it back to original if need be, it may be worth experimenting with TomTom files.

Sorry I couldn't be any more help.

Please Make A Backup Copy Of Your Original Files Before Attempting To Tamper Or Manipulate Your Original Files. This Is Critical If You Need To Reverse Any Failed Map Upgrades.

Please Note - These Are Only The Steps I Took Which Worked For Me On My Tomtom Go910 With V7 Os Preinstalled.

Yes it will . . the Easyuser Keygen that creates metadict files will work with any version 7 map. All you need is the correct meta.txt file and the Blowfish codes list which is available at many forums on the net.

    Take Care - Mike
