The PID entry was a theory which didn't work. My sat meter wont recognize it, you can only see the carriers on the spectrum analyse. As I found out there's allot more to MultiStream. It's an added protocol in the main processor which is made to support it. As that thread suggest only the UP1000 works on both Ch9 I19, and the higher symbol rate TP's on D1. I have heard in NZ a 1 meter dish works well for Ch9 on I19.
I have a 90cm offset and I can see a noticeable drop in signal level from AM to PM in the morning I get it around 14.5db with no signal lose in the afternoon it drops to 12.9db or 10% which is not much but enough to drop signal out.
I have been told by a ch9contact that they do not reduce uplink power over the day. Well they are not aware of this occurring.
So given that sponservation. Yes a larger 1.2mt plus dish would need to be utalized if you want 24/7 viewing.
I intend to setup24/7monitorong of this sat shortly so that will then clear up if it is I19 or the providers that are the issue.

I think you may have been the person from the old vetrun that helped me try to get a 3.8m obitron working on the old C1 overspill about 10 years ago. Username Ren from memory. You had an identical dish
3.8m works ok on ch 9mux,often sig Q 75-82 or a margin of about 10
BUT mainly use the dish for channels which need "magic numbers" and try as might cannot get 12569 on a c/ku and all of c band at the same time
just to pi** me off everything except 12569 will work well at the same time

It seems my wonderful Fuji high gain prime focus lnb has received it's last signal. Try as I might, it seems this lnb has been discontinued. So what is the current "hot" prime focus KU LNB?
The MTI prime focus looks like a copy of the Fuji, with much higher noise figure
The Inverto Black Pro has a considerably lower advertised gain than the MTI, but I like the adjustable scalar ring
Any other options worth considering?

Try to find a Norsat or Gardner LNB of Ebay or Google You might pay a little more in $$ but well worth it.
Don’t worry about going for the super low stability version. Ive tested most and unless you are after internet or other data services probably not worth it. Go for low noise these are genuine real world 0.7db - 0.8db figures not like some of the rediculously claimed Euro versions.
Try and stick with more stable PLL version rather then the older DRO. This will give you better chance of locking the 16apsk signals.
You won’t be disappointed.
OOOOPS I hae just realized my option for you is impractical as the above ar single Poarity l versions UNLESS you are specifically only after the Ch 9 Feed on Vert.
Otherwise you will need the more conventional Voltage switching LNB or two LNBs using a Orthofeed which is what I use.

I should have been more specific. I'm after a twin lnb if possible, low noise, high gain (real figures, not made up figures to sell rubbish lnb's), universal. TIA
It seems much effort is being put to get Ch9. Unless your receiver supports MultyStream, you won't be seeing any signal quality, gain, BER or MER, At best If your sat meter has spectrum analyser you should be able to see the carrier. So far 2 affordable receivers are mentioned here...

What ever the issue with the power level, I hope it comes right soon. Use to be able to receive this nicely on a 1m dish, would typically loose signal with moderate-heavy rain.
when changed from Fuji to twin out inverto black signal Q improved by 3-4
nothing to do with ultra 1000
just the combination of signal on the lower side and going through the c band part of the lnb being 150mm of unintended but unavoidable extra signal path
various sat boxes such as S9,S10,Skybox F3,freesat V7 will recognise 16 apsk even though they can't cope with the multistream part
and 16 apsk is just for starters as 32 &64 apsk feeds are quite common as they are fine tuning 128 &256 apsk
Has anyone else noticed the sudden price spike on TBS 6903 DVB S2 pro PCIe cards that can handle 16apsk.
I was going to buy a second unit to parrellel with my TB6983 before Xmas and the price was $229US or $290AUS, but as things happen I did not follow it up. Went to the TBS Shop and nearly fell off my chair, they now want average $349US or $443AUS WTF.

Yes Willis is right there are heaps of 16apsk multistream services around on C Band incl AS5 and Apstar7 but these all use 68500 or higher symbol rates and are for pay tv services. If you can afford $10-15k there are some nice commercial gear out there from Novell. I know someone who works for a tv station (not Aust) that can borrow the Novelsat unit on the weekends and I am so jealous of what he can receive. Oh well another Powerball and I will be buying one he he.

Based on comments above I've also installed an Inverto black just yesterday and what a difference. Its now watchable on a 1m dish again, at least until around 7PM...

A(merican)BC is feeding the NYC feed for dancing with the stars right now on 12550 V, this is live not delayed as well! It's only SD unfortunately but better than nothing.
