Reports in Victoria say that signal is very weak on a 90cm dish, so 75cm will obviously be worse.
Hi guys,
Has anyone been able to get Channel 9 on Intelsat 19 KU 12563 V 20103? I can get Channel 9 on 12550 V 3750 with about 80% signal but absolutely nothing on 12563. I can get most of the Horizontal TP's too but really what I'm after are the Nine network channels.
Dish is 75CM with D1/IS19 setup in New Zealand. My Receiver is an UltraPlus 900HD Micro. I don't know whether the receiver is 16APSK compatible, but Id expect to still get a signal from the TP right?
Cheers,
R

It needs 90cm and upwards minimum
Thanks mtv, I thought Vertical Tp's are only for NZ, Time to dust off my 1.2m..
Thanks guys, I'll go for a 1m dish to get these.

it depends if you want to watch in the rain..
This 'multi stream' technology intrigues me. I see members in Melb load Channel 9 Melb on 12573 V whilst up here in S.E. Qld, I load Channel 9 Brisbane also on 12573 V . The skew is critical at 5.45 in this neck of the woods. Am using 90 CM dish.
What can members in Perth see ?
12554 V tagged as 'A15K-1' is easier with prog of TCN 9 Sydney.

I receive the Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth C 9 ones listed on Lyngsat with a 1.5 metre dish. Alignment and skew need to be spot on. Location Melbourne.
Some receiver will only see the one set of channels.
I have a NBN 1.25m ASC made in the USA. Looks to be offset but haven't checked yet.
I now have NBN wireless so I was wondering if this could be used for Intelsat 19 Vertical TP's.ie channel 9.
I have a box capable of receiving these signals but my 90 cm doesn't get a whisper. The other frequencies are fine.
The LNB is Anatel ODU AN7001 BUC Transmitter Ku 4W. It has two cables labelled TX and RX.
I have the modem disconnected.
I have a LNB that works on the 90cm but the one on the dish looks superior. Anyone know if it can be used for my receiver. FreeSat V8 Super DVB S2 and if the dish is big enough.
I live in Victoria, Latrobe Valley

These devices typically operate in a slightly higher band of frequencies than those used for satellite tv reception, e.g. 13.75 - 14.5 GHz with an odd local oscillator frequency, so I strongly doubt its suitability for your purpose.
I had a similar unit given to me a few years ago, but haven't looked at it closely.
Get yourself a standard Ku-band dish with appropriate LNB.

If it has 11.300 LNB (as mine does) you can try removing the band pass filter mounted in front of it as if adds a little insertion loss (not needed to reject the tx on the other polarisation), since you need as much gain as you can get for the transponder your after.I have a NBN 1.25m ASC made in the USA. Heres what mine looks like. I've added another LNB for both H+V transponders
FreeSat V7 Combo, Amiko A5 combo, UltraPlus X-1000HD+, Mediastar HD8200s
2.4m motorised mesh, 1.2m on D2, 1.2m on D1, 95cm on IS19
Will have another look and maybe take a pic.
I have a dish (damaged) and LNB from a previous installation for Sat internet. The LNB looks similar to your pic.
A 1.8m dish will cost me $138 from Mel. Sat which I'm not keen to fork out if this dish will do the job. Nor worth the expense for just Channel 9 who might decide to change the Sat again or encrypt the signal. My terrestrial signal breaks up for 9 when the weather is bad.
Suggest you become a VAST traveller. What does 'mysattv' say about your location.

Location is not listed as being available for VAST, been there done that.
I could easily find an address that is or register as a traveller but again I would then have to buy a VAST receiver or CAS which I'm not prepared to do. I've just spent $70 on the FreeSat before they moved Channel 9.
Have a 1.8 dish on D2 which I'd planned to use for Channel 9.
I don't watch very much FTA but it's the Ashes next summer.
Looks like I will try the LNB from my 90cm.

Perhaps improvement could be made to your terrestrial reception?
