Sorry to be so stupid but do I read this box connects to a single devise such as a VAST or Foxtel STB with AV outs and you can then run a maximum of 4 cat5/6 cables to individual locations and connect the leads to a TV and using the IR 'receiver bud operate the STB with a suitable remote for the STB?
The reason I ask is because the last time I saw anything like this was much more expensive and the IR receiver was mounted on a wall plate along with the connectors for the TV.
I am aware you supply/instal your own cat5/6 cables which will add to the all up costs involved.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

    That's my exact purpose Gordon.

I now use 5.8 ghz sender but it is having a few problems

For the price this is worth a try.

I've bought the one in the link and will let you know how it goes once I get it and install it.

Cat cables are no issue for me.........was my last job!

After much head banging I remembered why a similar one was so much more expensive than this is was because it allowed a number of devises to be connected to a 'distibutor'? and for them to operated by the usual IR remotes.
Basically you could go to any location and select what devise you wanted to see without any interference.

What I didnt like was the 'outlet' panel as it needed to be mounted like a wall socket.

I have a 5.8 AV sender with a Transmitter and 2 receivers and it generally works well but every now and again, it does some very strange things and the nearest and only house to me is about 100 metres away.
There are times when the Red Receiving light on the Base flashes erratically but no remotes of any sort are being used.
