Commercial satellite receivers for the reception of the new Multi Stream signals such as the Newtec HZ914, , have been available for several years now, but there hasn't been a similar, low-priced, receiver to cater for the satellite TV "enthusiast".
However, an interesting video presentation regarding Multi Stream reception/decoding at Youtube, indicates that Openbox have such a receiver available, the Openbox SX, which will resolve "some" Multi Stream signals.
Apparently the TBS6925 PC card is also capable - .

For those interested, I have uploaded a short document, Introduction to DVB-S2 Multistream, from to .
I wonder if there are other consumer-grade receivers that are also Multi Stream compatible?

Also known as DVB S2X.. Intelsat 19
Yes, the streams on Intelsat 19 are a case in point and are relevant for members here.
My understanding of DVB S2X is, it is a new standard, which eXtends DVB S2 and as such allows the implementation of techniques such as Multi Stream, but it is not Multi Stream per se.

Regardless, we are getting off-topic, as the thread is concerned with the availability of receivers for Multi Stream broadcasts.

Multistream is mostly for distribution to terrestrial transmitters. They are using it for that in Russia.
As for DVB S2X i've see no confirmation anywhere that its in use on Intelsat 19 in the Australian mux. Someone on the facebook feeds group had a cheapy receiver playing them fine.
xcruiser 385 is one known to work there
I actually tried this last night on 3 boxes and nothing see it but the Skybox A1 It loads it all, all the channel banners works now and next, and the channels itself have big pixeliating like a picture working at 100 times a screen. Its looks like a Picture in Picture Throughout the whole screen
Maybe the JieHao DTH Station 32apsk satellite receiver dvb-s2x satellite receiver from China worth a try to see if receives C9 channels on IS19
Has anyone tried the Octagon SF4008 4K or Mutant HD51 4K satellite receivers. Both of these work on content from Europe satellite signals. Interested to see whether they work on channel 9 bouquet 12569V.
I haven't.
