It means the program selected to open the image is unable to open it.
i.e. it's broken, corrupted, not compatible with the type of image, etc.
Simple question. I hope the fix is just as simple
If I see this symbol where an image should be, what does it mean ?
Look Here -> |
It means the program selected to open the image is unable to open it.
i.e. it's broken, corrupted, not compatible with the type of image, etc.

If you let us know the location of the image, we can do a little further research for you.
But as porkop said in his post, try right-clicking on the image and then choose Open With. This gives you the opportunity to try opening the image with different programs, e.g. Photoshop, Paintshop, Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011, etc.
It could be that the image is "corrupted" as mtv has already suggested.
I have a number of image editing programs and am happy to check the image for you, but I have to have access to it.

In that case, I suggest that the image has been corrupted or is no longer available.
Occasionally, I have had the same problem and have been doing so for many years.
Incidentally, it is possible to use Google Images to frame a question using an image, instead of using words.....
An explanation of how to use Google Images can be found at .

If right click brings no menu then there is no hyperlink associated with the image and it is probably an embedded image in the web pages code and as others have said, in no available to the web server to display to you.

I don't see this symbol too often but there you go, one popped up today.
Tell me if you see it.
The only image visible to me at the link you specified is an exhaust system - two exhaust manifolds, pipe and and mufflers.
Oh! On checking again, I found a very small image immediately below the line reading 'Headers & Catss for FORD AUS Mustang 5.0L 2015- by XForce', which appears somewhat similar to the one you have been talking about.
Right-clicking and selecting view image results in a 'not found' message as below.
Not Found
The requested URL /components/com_parts/assets/images/subbrands/VAREX.png was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.27 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.27 OpenSSL/1.0.1e-fips mod_bwlimited/1.4 Server at Port 80
In other words, the image does not exist on the page specified.

Ah so that's what the icon is, a broken page haha ... looks like a truck driving on a rough road to me. lol
Would be better if the stupid programmer just put the words "Broken link" don't you think ?
Well I guess it's solved then.
Thanks guys.

it means something is broken - broken image, broken link or the file cannot be found
Means your image is damaged or corrupted. Different software or application gave you different error symbol.
I'm getting tired of your posts too Alaves.... just about all are repeating what has already been mentioned.
