YouTube App Version - What is the best?

Ok, i'm one of those people that avoids updating an App or Software, unless i have too!
As generally, the newer releases are often bloated, or full of ads or worse...

So, with YouTube for Android, does anyone here recommend a particular version?
Here is the choice:

Yes, i could just update to the latest, but the reviews don't read well

To tell the truth, I don't even like the YouTube apps, not at all. I like to watch youtube videos with the Internet browser I have. There's one advantage and one disadvantage. The advantage is, you can run another application while playing something with the browser. But the disadvantage is, you can't browse to other websites while playing something. Well, it's better not being able to use one application than all the others.
