    Default Dell Professional P1914S Monitor

Can anyone tell me how the stand actually connects to the monitor.

    A pic would be nice.

    TIA.

    EDIT: Answered my own question

If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

Insert the tabs on the top of the stand into monitor first, then slide downwards.

Edit: the link in your post just links back to your post???

Looking further, your link tries to open, then closes, giving the impression it's redirecting back to your post.

For some reason, it doesn't open the Dell site for me.... not to worry, you got it sorted.

I don't have that model, but the stand mounting is the same as a few Dell monitors I have.

Would you recommend it - the monitor?

    Depends on the intended use.

It's not widescreen, so I wouldn't buy one myself for that reason, but it's a good screen otherwise.

It does have display port, which I use and look for in any monitor.

Dell monitors are typically overpriced for what you get IMHO, but having said that, I've had several and all good performers.

I've used and continue to use a variety of Dell monitors and have found them to perform well.

I've never bought one new as in my opinion they are usually overpriced as mtv has already suggested. Instead, I prefer to obtain much computer hardware at ex government auction, where equipment is often available at bargain prices, but you have to know what to look for.

As a general comment, I find that many people tend to over-invest in equipment, which is capable of much higher performance than they actually require for their intended use.

If you tell us what your intended use is, we can provide more objective advice.

Seems expensive for an SXGA monitor?

Do you have to buy Dell & that model.

    Have you looked at others?

I have a AOC e2450Swh 23.6" that I purchased over 3 years ago, that is full HD & has a brilliant picture, that cost $150 & still sells for the same.

    Cheers, Tiny

On the face of it, it was too cheap to pass up. Time will tell ...
