This is one reason why I gave up on Inkjets and have gone to colour Laser printers. I don't often print photos, so I cannot make any comments as to suitability for high quality photo prints.
Hoping others will share their experiences about CISS trouble to see if I can fix my problem.
I always use Epson printers. I've had plenty of experience with other brands and will always recommend Epson as the most reliable and for print quality.
I had an Epson R350 for my photography prints, that I bought a CISS kit for.
It worked perfectly until the printer died.
I then bought an Epson 1430 A3 printer. A fantastic 6 cartridge printer highly recommended by the experts.
When the original cartridges ran out 6 months ago, I purchase a CISS kit for it from the same supplier (different kit), but have had nothing but trouble with it.
First off, it printed colours no where near the original image. I think I have that sorted out now that the supplier sent me a ICC profile but there's more.
The ink keeps draining back to the tanks, which means a lot of head cleaning to get it going again.
The supplier is not too keen to help any longer.
I have tried sitting the tanks at many different heights relative to the printer.
I reckon the tanks should have a tiny check valve for each colour.
