Default Satellite Receiver to PC Connection

Hi all. I am trying to connect my Strong str4922B+ satellite receiver to the internet. My setup is; Telstra 4G mobile
broadband modem which connects to the pc wirelessly. Is it possible to connect the same modem to the sat receiver
either wirelessly or with an ethernet cable?

    Thanks
    fiddler

Not too technical about this but there are devises that have an AV IN and connect to a computer via a USB port.
These were sold fairly cheaply to record from a VCR to a Computer.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Yeah, it's a DVR device, was actually originally designed for recording from security cameras onto a hard-drive. I've had two before and captured images from my old UEC box onto my computer. I think he means though, he wants to connect the box to the internet specifically.

AdrianR, I got that part OK but I thought you would have to go from the STB to a computer then to the Internet hence the suggestion of using one of those 'convertors'.

It would help if the OP explained exactly what he's trying to achieve, stream, record, play content to other devices, upgrade firmware...etc.
