The only contribution I have is a letter from a nice Mr Malema, a solictor based in Johannesburg South Africa.

I have been advised I am the only surviving relative of a Mr Herbert a wealthy gold and diamond miner in Johannesburg whom along with his two sons was murdered in a robbery.

Upon giving over my banking details this nice Mr Malema will split the 10 million U.S dollar estate of the deceased 50/50.

The good thing about this was there was a genuine South African stamp on the envelope which I gave to a neighbour who's son collects postage stamps.

As well the kids had a good laugh when they read the letter.

It was the first scam letter they had seen.

I think, judging from the 2.5 without the last zero (2.50) the idiotic scammer was trying to say 2.5 million or something but forgot to include the M or million.

I mean if you're going to scam people, at least have the decency to put in the effort to make it look like it might actually be real. Huge epic fail Mr Scammer. LOL

Somewhere on this forum should be one of my stories of when I had a list of Urdu phrases for the Pakistani scammers.

I had a bundled phone with my adsl. I never used it, so I made sure it was an unlisted number and on the do no call register.
So anybody who called on it was a scammer.

The phrases I had in Urdu were sexually explicit. Some real good ones.
A few times they said, "You're a very sick man!" before hanging up.

Since I don't have the land line anymore I only get to play Cowboy and Indians, using real Indian call centers.
I have to say I'm pretty immune to them, but as of late they have really been shitting me.
The last one cost me 4 hours waiting for them on a friday afternoon. Eventually after the internal Australian management called back wondering why a 5 minute job was taking over 4 hours. I told them they should have somebody who speaks without an accent ring me back within 15 minutes or I mark the job off as complete and the when asked why the fault wasn't fixed but the job complete.... there's going to be trouble.

So I've been slowly investigating Indian call centers on my own terms. It appears they have very high turn over of employees, so this is why some of them are just fvcking hopeless. Indians can't go off script. They don't have the brain power or experience with the technology to do it. Those that do are not allowed to go off script even if they know how to fix the problem. They will follow a procedure that takes 30 minutes rather than just skipping ahead on a hunch.
They're afraid to go off script because they risk being sacked for doing so.

This is one of the things Indians fear more than Gali destroying the earth

Being held accountable.
I've had fights on the phone with mindless Indians following script and doing so will cause major problems.
If you do A then this bad thing will happen. If you do B instead, then a different bad thing will happen.
The Indian insists he can only do A or B in his binary mind because this is what the script says he must do.
"No, I want you to do C - the high impedance trinary state where you do nothing and don't fvck with anything and most important, you make a note in the database so the little brown fvcker on the next shift doesn't do the same thing or call me at 2am".

"No, no, no... I must do B or A".

"OK... sorry, what was your name?"
"Suhkdeep Mahindra"
"Ok Suckdeep, you do whatever your script tells you to do because I will not be held responsible. When they ask me why there was a catastrophic fvckup, I will tell them that it is because suckdeep would not listen to the customer and decided to take responsibility for his actions."

"OK, we do it your way !"
Oh, NOW you want to do it my way.... I think it might be too late for that!

I'm always working on new ways to keep the Indian mental health system busy.
Some of them are seriously fvcked up now.
