Default Dishwasher tripping the safety switch

Hi my dishwasher has just started tripping my safety switch. Funny thing is it goes off when you open the door of the dishwasher or are loading the dishwasher. The dishwasher is not even turned on. There are no obvious signs and it has only just started happening in the last two days. Any thoughts??

If your dishwasher has any controls on the door, it's likely there may be some fault with the cabling (switches or circuitry), so that when it's moved, it creates an earth leakage condition, tripping the safety switch... which is exactly what they are designed to do.

Safety switches are not 100% reliable and having a faulty appliance that uses water and electricity is not a good mix.

Stop using the dishwasher and disconnect power to it until the fault is rectified.

It looks like the rinse aide has been leaking into the electricals on the door. Any thoughts on why that is happening?

Perhaps it has a hole where it shouldn't have, or a faulty seal.
