I think the problem of so-called legitimate 457 visas is much worse though. Companies that either don't advertise positions, or reject all Australian applicants, then claim 457 legitimacy because they can't find qualified applicants in Australia. It's all about the dollars the companies don't want to pay to Australian employees.

From what I have heard, read and been told, most Employers WONT give any reasons for declining an applicant for a job.
By doing this an Employer can rig the requirements to ensure no one they dont want has a chance in Hell of getting the job.
Then hat in hand, the Employers go to the relevant authority and say we have advertised but none met our needs so can we have a 457 Visa, Please, Thank You? and the Pro Boss Business Government is only too happy to oblige.
