I have a similar problem with my aldi tv computer
I have to guess where the mouse should be to go forward or back or log out
Anyone noticed this problem? I was flipping through the channels yesterday and found that for two shows that I checked at the time (Stargate and Voyager) the aspect ratio was wrong.

No, I watched a rerun of Voyager the other night, aspect was fine.
It may be a setting somewhere on my iQ3, that I remember has something to do with auto changing Aspect ratio for 4:3 shows to user choice. Yep found it in settings Picture Display/4:3 program display. I have it set to 14:9, other choices are stretch or pillar box.
I'm can't remember if the show is actually recorded in 4:3 or 16:9 originally.
I also have my output resolution set to 1080P not auto.
Not sure if you have an iQ3 or an iQ1 or 2 or whether settings are similar.
I also quite often zoom/stretch shows in 14:9 & 21:9 up to full screen with a quick press of my Sony TV remote.
The show is on again at 5:30 pm I'll have a look at it for you with my iQ3 & MyStar HD see what it does.

OK, just checked & both boxes show Voyager in 4:3 AR. Looks like a pillar box picture with black sides.
That's what it was recorded/produced in & it easily expands to full screen with no distortion on my Sony at the press of a button.
The show on SciFi before was in 16:9 & needed no expansion/zoom to fill the screen.
I reckon you just forgot how old these shows are.lol

Sometimes when you set a certain setting for AR on your STB, you need to turn off any kind of auto-adjust on the TV set. The two often fight each other. Set the one permanent, and play with the other one.
