Any one have this problem, im trying to enter the cash cow comp. on sunrise ch7 but i cant ring or send text from my Mobile, also i cant ring them from my home phone , just says unable to connect.

home phone is with IINET mobile is with Telechoice ??? have contacted both and still waiting for answers !!! RESULT iinet dont have an answer i said to the guy you have a go at ringing 19777077 he got the same as me

unavailable from this network, i cannot believe that of all the thousands of people that enter the comp. there must be some that are with IINET ????

    Hi HILLVIEW103

ii-net voip phone can have call blocking set on and off
This was copied from iinet,s toolbox
it sounds like you have a block set

    Call Blocking (Network Access options)

Call Blocking can't be configured in Toolbox. If you'd like the Network Access setting changed for your Home Phone ($3.52 per change), please call us on 13 22 58.

Call Blocking blocks specific types of calls from being made using your phone service. The following blocking types are available:

    Emergency only (000)

    Only 1800 numbers

Local calls only (included 13xx numbers)

Local and operator-assisted calls only (includes 13xx numbers)

All calls except international (includes premium and standard)

Local, Standard, International and Premium (no operator-assisted calls)

Local, Standard and Premium (no International or operator-assisted calls)

All calls except Premium and International (includes standard)

All calls except Premium (includes International and standard)

A call to comp lines would be classed as a premium call.

    Cheers

I could understand one carrier not handling the call but not 2 unless they are associated using the same service.
Can you ring any other Premium service number or is it just that one?
Maybe neither have an agreement regarding billing for the Premium service hence the block?

What about the Ansible Pty Ltd helpline..... 1300 851 419

It may switch you through or be answered, I dunno....

    Hi HILLVIEW103

I tried to call the 19777077 number from my iinet netphone and then realized that is the SMS entry's number.
The phone number is listed as 1902557707 for phone in entry's.

I then tried to call that number from a Telstra prepaid phone and got the message the the number is not available from this service then a call from iinet home phone gets please check the number and try again message. It sounds to me like a block on 1902 numbers to me unless the number is switched off as it's now past closing time for entry's.

    Cheers

A highy unlikely option could be that the competition was 'Area Specific' and was only accepting calls from such.
I called Optus one time to check out the availability of a telephone/internet bundle but my home phone number did not come up on their Data Base so apparently it wasnt for me.

I understand Companies who use 1800 or 1300 numbers can designate where they will accept calls from like that 1300 Taxi number that puts you into the local area.
