    Default au oil sensor

i screwed up, i bought a oil light sensor for my brothers 1999 au & my mechanic put it in for free (buddy system)

but then he told me it was wrong one, i knew it, i just ordered it by mistake

& i need the oil gauge sensor instead

but now, its still has the wrong part in it & it wont start
hoping its just because of the part? what do you think

You could always put the old one back in until you get the right part.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

If he was screwing around the oil pressure switch he was near the coils and ignition system under the inlet manifold.

Tell him to go back and check the connections......(hint)
