Default Chuck Berry has today died at the age of 90

"The St Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.

"The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement."

The rock n' roll legend - known as the father of that movement - had been producing music since the 1950s and wrote pioneering tracks such as Johnny B Goode.

To be honest, I was surprised to hear he was still alive until now.

Certainly one of the legendary formative performers of Rock 'n' Roll.

    Thanks for your music.

    R.I.P. Chuck

One report I read claimed he was still performing until fairly recently.

Along with problems with the IRS (US Taxman) He was not 'flavour of the month' in some circles and he took rather 'unusual' steps of having himself and the 'Ladies' he was 'entertaining' photographed naked with him to avoid charges of sexual misconduct (my words) or they were underage.

His 'Duck Walk' along with his vibrant brash music and lyrics made him a legend in World of Music from the very beginning and he deserved every accolade made.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

I grew up as a little kid listening to his music, my dad a late 50's rocker use to have all his records and he use to play them in the house and the garage along with Chubby Checker, Roy Oberson and Elvis.

    Fantastic music for its time.

    Another legend gone.

In my humble opinion Chuck Berry and Bill Haley really were the founders of Rock and Roll.

I thought he'd be long gone by now. His music was an inspiration to a generation.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

    R.I.P. Chuck Berry.

Even if you did rip Johnny B. Goode off Marty McFly

    Cheers
