The thread you were thinking of was the off season practice times I think.

BTW: That combined list of yours for Q2 is incorrect; you got MM as a double, don't think he's allowed to ride 2 bikes. lol

Riders going directly to Qualifying 2 - Top 10 Combined Practice Times:
    1. Maverick Vinales ESP Movistar Yamaha MotoGP (YZR-M1)
    2. Andrea Iannone ITA Team Suzuki Ecstar (GSX-RR)

    8. Jonas Folger GER Monster Yamaha Tech 3 (YZR-M1)*
    9. Cal Crutchlow GBR LCR Honda (RC213V)
    10. Valentino Rossi ITA Movistar Yamaha MotoGP (YZR-M1)

4am! how uncivilised. I only got to watch my recording of it this morning after going to the track, finding Symmons wet, then bailed out & came home rather than wait around to see if it cleared up. Rained here all day so been watching the F1 coverage.

Mint Weather here all day, not a single cloud.

Yeah, i am finding it hard to make out the riders with all the changes and odd new rider.
Looks like the Pommies have good speed this year

Yep, cancelled!! Glad I didn't get up early.
Just goes to show how important free practice times can be.
As the grid is now formed from the combined free practice times as follows.

Yeh I sat down with a beer ready to watch it and wtf? Not sure I remember a qualifying being cancelled. Anyway just about to get a beer (again) and settle in to the race. Been a few drops of rain after the Moto2 race.

I was with you Leroy, watched Moto 3, then watched Moto2, great race
At this point i was starting to do the long blinks and watch TV through the back of my eyelids
2 Rain Delays and Grandpoobar meeting was not what a needed, i thought it was BMW X5 race at one point.

Once finally under way, it was a good race!
Johann Zarco what a start (soft rear) lead the race for several laps by a good margin
Iannone repeated what he did last year, lowsided out of the race
Crashlow started the year like last year also
Rossi worked slowly but got a 3rd
    MM off the podium
And a surprise, Jack Miller got 8th!

Oh and lets not for get Aleix Espargaro got Aprilia a 6th, Tiny will be dancing

Would have been interesting to see where Zarco finished had he stayed upright
I guess a 4th position wasn't out of the question

I think if he'd managed to master the limits of adhesion, he'd of won.

    Have a look at the fastest race laps;

How did that Aprilia get up so high?

He sure was a lot faster, but how much of that was a SOFT rear tire i wonder?
Although Lorenzo had a SOFT rear too i think?

Aleix put in a real good effort on the Ape, he was only 7 seconds off the leader at the finish.

It ended up a good track day on Saturday. It was damp for the first group then the track just continued to dry. By 10:30 it was good
plenty of grip. Sunday racing was a great day, superb weather and my first race meeting. Had a ball more fun than I could have imagined

Hi all, just a reminder that MotoGP is from Argentina this weekend,
Starting with FP1 Friday 10:55PM EST.

If you want some interesting insight into team Yamaha, these 2 interviews are well worth watching.

Mav is definitely where he wants to be!
Who wouldn't want a team manager like Lin Jarvis.

    Cheers, Tiny
