Has the database been moved to a dedicated server? seems awfully quick if there is multiple websites on the one server

I got caught in the downtime. Problem was, I couldn't check Austech to see exactly when the outage was, so had to wait, and hope for the best. All is good here.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Its on a VPS - by that I mean the site and database are (thats if you are asking have they been seperated)

Different to shared hosting in that its one server shared by a small number of customers with software that basically allows everyone to run individually like a Dedicated Server. We have a defined amount of SSD hard drive space, RAM and CPU.

Yes super snappy, pages load instantly now
Before I was thinking that the lagginess was due incompatabilites with my exotic browser (QupZilla) which is otherwise very fast.

Are there still any problems with the new hosting?
I know I'm new here, but I know I've written a few replies with some questions. Now I can't find them even searching on my username.

No issues I am aware of.

From what I can see, you have only made two posts... this one and .

If there have been others, perhaps you were trying to post in closed threads?

Can you list which threads you feel your posts were made in and I'll check those threads for any issues.

I have noticed slow load times and timeout issues loading some posts over the last 2 hours if that means anything

ie. This post took me 3 or 4 attempts to post.

For some reason there is a massive amount of guests users on the site, I will change access to members only while we investigate whether they are coming from a direct link or a more sinister reason.

Ok, guests cannot access the forum so hopefully things start moving a bit better over the next 15 minutes or so.

Currently server load is up over 15, people get turned away at 10.

We seem to getting bombed by hundreds of guests via a Brazilian IP block, so I have just blocked it. If it doesn't clear up soon I will ban it from the server completely.

We've also had a number of Brazilian IP's signing up recently.... whether that's coincidental or related.

The 'guest' count is increasing ATM... not decreasing.

Does it take a while for commands to take effect?
