    Anyone alive ?

Half the people here have probably been booted back to the old server. I had better find a way to get there.

Just seen the ticker saying I'm on the new server. No issues with load times.

Thank you, Admin! Where do I send the Johnnie Walker Black or Red? Or is Glenmorangie preferred?

There are still plenty of issues to be dealt with. Posts seem to be disappearing and appearing.

OB, I am only getting an error on "reply with quote", which seems to be a 4 line error compared to the one you posted which is 8. I am still working on why.

EDIT : Interestingly, I can post a new thread no problem on that same url you posted up with the errors.

Ok, I have found the problem.

We need to either upgrade to VBulletin 4.2.5 or downgrade our version of PHP.

    Beauty.

I will see if we can downgrade PHP, failing that we will have to upgrade the site to 4.2.5 which is an unsupported version that supports PHP 7.

So far the site is working O.K. for me although I am only browsing at present and this is the first thread that I have attempted to read.

Yes, the outage was extensive yesterday but thanks to admin's efforts all is well at present.

Thank you Andrew for all the time and effort you put in to ensure that the forum functions well, particularly at times like this. We all appreciate it.

No worries tristen, the problems should be solved with either an upgrade of the forum or a downgrade of PHP.

I am trying to get PHP downgraded at the moment, but if it cant be done we will have to upgrade the forum.

We seem to be missing half our members, who are probably posting on an identical forum in a parallel universe They should eventually get here when their DNS updates.

VBulletin really try to screw you for money.

If you have VBulletin version 5 (we have 4), there have been PHP 7 compatible versions since mid 2016.

If you have VBulletin version 4 like us, there is only a single version that is unsupported.

    Upgrade fee to version 5 ? $209USD - $278AUD.

Ok, we have just downgraded our PHP and MYSQL versions.

This should fix the problem. I would ask anyone about to start clicking about the forum, even create a thread in the test forum, reply with quote (which was a problem) and let us know if there are still any problems.

    Your help is appreciated.

Just for the record, Liquid Web finally answered our support ticket.....6 hours and 5 minutes later.

"Thank you for contacting us at Liquid Web. I can confirm that the load did go down very soon after you blocked that IP, so it is possible that load remained elevated for some time as the Apache and PHP processes were being killed off. Taking a look at the traffic coming into the server, I think your hypothesis is exactly right, and I am sorry we did not follow up sooner. If anything else comes up, feel free to update us and we will be happy to help."

They were possibly posted on the forum on the other server.....that's where I worked out my missing posts went.

What we have on here is from the data migration that took place at around 4.30PM yesterday.

We are missing a few posts in the conversation we had on page 3 of this thread after that time. There are likely still people talking in that thread on the other forum now

I am pretty sure we are getting better CPU access with Known Host.

In CPanel with Liquid Web, on our server stats page we have 2 CPU's.

In CPanel with KnownHost, on our server stats page we have 24 CPU's.

I think LW simply allocate you that, while KH allow it to all be shared.

I know we arent particularly busy here, but the load hasn't gone past 0.10 yet It used to sit at around 2.00 with LW.
