Default firmware update 7 feb 2017 changed the recorded files

    Hi everyone

I have been successfully recoding the .rec files form the HDD attached to Vast STB up until this last firmware update.

The files are now unrecognizable by Xmediarecode the windows program I used.

In fact the file is unrecognisable with Potplayer which would play the native file format stating "the file has no content".

Any knowledge of a solution or have they totally prevented the re encoding.

Viewing the file, the headers or whatever is missing, use to have GL and lots of Y's.

    Not Cool!

    Default

Recording on VAST, FTA or Foxtel doesnt seem to be 'favoured' by the 'Broadcasters' except where they can control it completely by preventing transfers between devises or time limiting how long you can keep them for and if I understand the above posting correctly, this is exactly what has happened here.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
