Does anyone have a main board for this TV that they might like to part with ?

Just wondering what symptoms you have with this TV. Got a similar model with no image or backlight
Gave the main processor a reheat and flux job with Hot Air. Back to life, but for how long I will see. LV5500
Mine just shutdown while watching it and wouldn't startup again.
After checking some voltages and stuff I went straight for the processor. Thing is, I forgot to check the temp of my heat gun and I think I might have given it too much.
It now starts up pic and sound but it won't see the antenna, and although menu stuff is full screen, the actual picture (if I insert a DVD player through HDMI) only covers 2/3's of the screen.
If it's not a cooked chip I dunno what the problem is.
Bugger, probably is cooked then. who knows. I ran a bit of flux gel used 350C. Not exactly a scientific approach, waiting for it to break. How exactly do you work out how hot a heat gun is?
A K Type Thermocouple is possibly more accurate. From experience, I've found that IR temp sensors need to be constantly adjusted for the emissivity of the target.
Direct readings with even a cheap thermocouple probe tend to be more accurate. Place the probe directly on the chip surface to get an accurate reading.
For HVAC work, I only use thermocuple measurement (with clamp probes). There are a great many cheap and accurate devices available on
Fluke also include a K Type Thermocouple with most of the industrial meters they sell.
