We just watched the chanel 7 news and we were amused sort of.
They showed the funeral of the mother and her 2 children drowned in the flooded river and guess what song they were playing.

Seriously, I've been to many funerals where the music was a real celebration of the person's life. I'd happily have any, or all of them played when I kick the bucket. Much better than the dirges that are often played.

This part of a funeral is the thing that I hate most at a funeral. I really don't get it, why there has to be a song at a funeral. It's not a party, I don't care how sad or jolly the song is, I just don't think there should be any song at a funeral.
LOL, I'm sure it could be argued that quite a few of us on this Forum already qualify in that case
(Yes I did say "us", depends who you ask)

Yes it can be a "party" celebration to celebrate the death of a friend/family member or legend, it's in the ideology of the funeral Wake,
