Hmmm.. I like the 'trapcall' feature of unmasking blocked caller ID's.
Wonder if it's compatible with Australian networks.
You can't in Australia. Well not mobiles unless for a massive fee and ensuring you 'own' the so called number.
Using a VoIP it is much easier to, but to remain "legal" you still have to provide proof you own the number. I'm pretty sure you can get overseas VoIP accounts that are more relaxed with the rules, but I'm not sure how it goes with Australia.
SMS services on the flip side are really easy!! Most SMS providers allow you to set the "From" field to anything you like as long as it is 12 or less (I think) characters. It was one of the ways I used to show clients the ease in spoofing banking sites and ensuring their awareness.

DEFCON and Black Hat organisations hold annual conferences where a great variety of presentations are made by experts in their various fields.
Some will be posted on Youtube, so a search would probably yield results.
Their various presentations are extremely interesting and a real eye-opener to what is possible. Think you're communications are secure? Think again!
