I seen a tv app on my smart tv smart iptv and signed up for it. I searched for playlists even though current they do not work with the exception of a couple channels. Are the smart tv locked out eg if i want to watch greek or uk channels?

no ive never done anything like this eg never used kodi or whatever. I know i installed them proper as all the channels show up and i tried a few playlist all the same result so just wondered if it was a region block thing.

Well, it can be any number of things

1. The stream is region locked (meaning you'll need a DNS service)
2. The stream is now dead (often happens as things change, they don't last long)
3. Your TV may not be able to handle all stream address structures
4. Your TV may be able to handle all Stream Types

Hence why testing them in a known product is always a good idea
