Ugh ok turns out the software for the FM and DAB+ does not like the serial number provided grrr- Does anyone know of any other programs that will make Fm and DAB work on the IT9135 Chip?

If you mean that the software provided (on a CD) will not accept the serial number provided with/on the CD, why don't you advise the supplier and ask for a solution?

I've bought a number of similar units to that shown in your first post. In each case a CD containing suitable drivers and a version of operating software was supplied with the unit.

There were/are two serial numbers on the CD envelope - one for the unit (hardware) and the other for the software, which in this case was Blaze Video.

The units I usually purchased were Ezycap.

Mine had a blank envelope for the cd - it only has a serial on the blue mini disc that came- and it has lots of folders in the cd:

    AutoRunSource
    HDTV Stick
HDTV Stick with FM --> Win8 Driver and Blaze Software

It has different software on it. The Blaze one for TV works perfectly but the program for the FM and DAB which is provided is called "Presto! PVR" does not work. And i have messaged the website i bought it off and they have not responded. Mine has an Ezcap software installer on it too which gives me the HD version of Blaze rather than the other one that came with it.

    Presto PVR rings a bell.

And I remember using it successfully on another computer, which has since died.

    There's a thread about this at rtl-sdr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=86

There might be more...do a SEARCH.

Nope- i've searched high and low and still could not come up with anything so i tried using something else to play it "https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/radio-receiver/miieomcelenidlleokajkghmifldohpo?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon" That did not work either- the problem with that was it says a USB tuner device not found. The Radio receiver app needs an "RTL283TU" which i guess is not what mine is. I've tried many different websites trying to find a serial or something and i've even tried poking through the setup files trying to find the reg code the hard way but still came up with nothing.

Are you telling me that neither of the suggestions at worked?

I'm reasonably sure that I have used one of those suggestions re. a serial number myself, now that I think a little more about it.

The downloadable drivers only contain blaze which I already have and the evaluation cd key does not work. And there is no cdkey.txt there

    Oh dear!

What about the sentence in post #3, which reads ".....Entered < evaluation > in the serial number box. That worked!"

    Try that.

Well, I have just installed the device on my Windows 7 Ultimate machine and it works perfectly for Digital TV, DAB Radio and FM Radio.

Blaze Video is a video editing program.

Presto PVR is the software to use for all three functions of the device, digital TV, DAB radio and FM radio.

You MUST load the three different bands/functions ( (1) Digital TV, (2) DAB Radio and (3) FM Radio) individually.

The relevant channel list is then selected from the little icon to the right of the hammer symbol at top right-hand-side of Presto PVR Screen.

I see that you posted in another section of the forum a few minutes ago, so I'll ask my question....

Any progress report for the TV dongle problem?

    What have you discovered?

Hi, sorry for taking a while to respond, I just noticed it now. I have given up on the radio part of it but the TV part is still going Excellently. All we need to do is aquire an old aerial from somewhere and it will be perfect for camping at our caravan.
