Default Electrolux EWF 1087 Self Check Mode

Does anyone know how to place an Electrolux EWF 1087 into the 'Self Check' mode?

    Thanks.

Most models have a similar rest procedure.

Not sure if this will help, but worth a try.

Thanks MTV, it flashes a code but goes straight back to wash time. I tried to download the service manual but it ended up being for an EWF 1070. The self check routine does not seem to work with this machine.

Is there a Service Manual for the EWF 1087 model?

    Thanks.

There is an existing Electrolux thread .

A Trouble-Shooting Guide is included in the Operating Guide available at , which might help you.

Thanks Tristen, but that model has a selector knob, I have the Service Manual for the EWF1070, but the procedure does not work on this machine.

My one is purely pushbutton, it looks the same as the one I need to fix, but that one is actually an EW1265F. I don't know what the difference is.

Now my new question is, Does anyone have a Service Manual for an EW1265F?

    Thanks all.

As a matter of interest, why do you wish to initiate the self-test mode? In what way is the machine misbehaving?

Did you look at the other Austech forum thread I pointed to?

My friend said it fills up but not much else happens. I would think the test mode would cycle through all of the outputs and bring up a pass or fail for each.
Your link only downloaded a manual, it did not open another page or thread.

    Thanks.

If you are referring to tristen's post..... yes it did contain a link to the thread.

Direct links, such as the one you clicked on for the manual download, are coloured blue.

Have a closer look at tristen's post... and you'll see the word 'here' is blue.... that's the direct link to the Electrolux thread.

ahhh, the blue 'here'. I have read the entire post. MegaUpload was only around 2005 to 2012, I've tried the new MegaDownload site but to no avail.

Mediafire says 'Shared Content Belongs to Suspended Account'. Electrolux.im and ManualsLib only have owners manuals. The FileDropper links only take you to a page that says 'File Dropper'. Am I doing something wrong?

I put the EW1265 into spin and it emptied and spun. The main bearing has gone. Does anyone know if this bearing and seal is a standard size or are they a special Electrolux design?

    Thanks.
