Default iQ2, single or dual cable connection?

I rang Foxtel today as one of my 3 Titans has a problem and it was arranged to replace it with an iQ2.
I told them that although I have a dual LNB and a multi switch, none of the wall connectors have dual outlets.
It was my understanding that the myStar/iQ series need a dual connection to work.
Is this correct or or will it work on just one cable connection?
    Note
This is NOT an update as I am not intersted in HD or other features, just the normal service.
Depending on Aus post, the new STB could be here by Friday, time will tell.

Needs both for independent access to vertical and horizontal transponders.

    Concur.....
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

    Bloody thought so.
Until recently I could do the cable mysef but for the last 6 months I have had mobility problems (athritic hip).
Ah well, will have to wait now until it arrives and go from there.

    Both tuners are dual polarity.

New STB arrived yesterday and after major confusion and phone call to Tech support, it is NOT an iQ2 as
I was told but a 'no frills' Pace DC/DS 420.
As such it will not record and has only a single 'F' type connector instead of two.
It does however have 2 SCART plugs, one for the TV, the other for a VCR !
I was thinking to connect that 2nd SCART to the room sender instead of using the 'doublers' there now.
Now to wait until they recal my other 2 Titans tosee what they send me.
