Default Lanotec - Anyone here use it?

I came across a product a few days ago, Lanotec, for under body coating, rust prevention, and general lubrication of pins and leaf sprints etc

Years ago i used to paint stuff with Fish Oil (areas you couldn't access again, or under chassis)
It always seemed to do the job.

The guy that makes this makes some pretty wild, impressive claims
Apparently our Army bought so much of it, you couldn't buy it in retailers and other claims like that.

    Anyone here used it?
    Mainly this product.

I notice the higher grade stuff, they do not recommend for galvanized surfaces, a bit of a shame

This is an old thread, but will give you some ideas:

I've used Lanotec in the past .... it is a very effective, proven product.

It sticks like the proverbial....which is a both a strength, and a weakness in some ways....mainly the sticking of dust, etc. to it....although some on that thread seem to have overcome that.

Also have, and still do, use the Inox referred to in the thread........very good stuff.....buy the 4 (5?) litre drum and apply with your own spray applicator.....much cheaper.

So it's just sheep oil instead of fish oil.

Fish oil is the old school classic in rust prevention, but it does tend to leave your car with a sharp pong for a week or so (some say months) after application. Lanolin is another alternative but it's water soluble, so it won't last nearly as long. Things also stick to lanolin, but it's still a very popular underbody treatment before a spot of beach driving.
    Cheers, Tiny
