    Question Residential Security System Recommendations

    Hello,

I have been out of the industry for almost ten years now so my information is a bit dated.

I am looking to securing up my house. Currently using the have a dog in the yard security method.

Whilst initially I am just going to put in some mechanical and motion detectors I would like the ability to add some lighting and maybe irrigation automation in the future.

Both Challenger and Concept panels come to mind, however has anyone worked with anything else recently that they would recommend for these applications? Perhaps Solution 6000 or an Inception panel? What else would be at a similar level?

Also are the current Hikvision cameras still the go to cameras for reasonably priced recording?

Solution 6000 is a good system with various modules available and also to be able to control everything via the MyAlarm iFob app.
Hikvision is good. Also use Uniview.

You could use Tecom with Tru-Vision integration along with the built in C-Bus automation.
The tecom app and what ever software you want to use. Titan, Security Commander.
There is also Tecom C4 but that would be a big step.
