    Default iPhone 6 white lights

    Hi guys,
Little white lights at the top of my screen, been told it's a moisture leak or it's been dropped, been quoted$115 to fix it, any tips? It still seems to work ok,
    Cheers mondo198

If you can live with it, I wouldn't worry about it and just use it until it stops. Otherwise, spend the $115 or look for a second hand one on any number of sites.

Looks like a reflection of overhead lights. No idea what would cause it, you know my thinking.

Maybe I'll trade it in one day on an iphone28 and it will still be working with its little lights still shining away, :-)

Hey Mondo - I pull these things apart all the time

the back light of an iPhone is made up of a string of 8 SMD LED's across the top and 4 thin sheets of opaque plastic with a mirrored backing over the top of the LCD

The marks you are seeing is most likely junk pushing from behind in between the metal backing plate (which is screwed on) and the mirrored backing

The quote you have got is a replacement screen (which is the LCD, Frame, Backlight, glass digitiser)

If you are capable - (and I don't mean - watch youtube and have a go yourself.... I mean you are able without youtube ) - you can remove the screen, remove the metal plate and clean the dust/junk from the back of the screen, otherwise let the person who quoted you $115 to fix it for you

Water and moisture tend to leak in between the opaque sheets and you can see the spreading........

    hope this makes sense
