Straigh or Cross For your Cat 5 or 6 leads.
For years I have used CROSS Ethernet leads from my ADSL 2 Modem/Router to our desktop Computer only. Now From our Modem/router to whatever "eg" a TV or Vu duo 2, or other device I always use a straight Cable.
Question!
Is this still used when you get NDN on, say a Telstra NBN Modem or they do not care if its straight or Cross these day from the modem and your computer.
thanks

Crossover cables are intended primarily for connecting two similar devices directly. Eg: computer to computer.
Straight cables are for connecting to patch panels, switches, routers, modems, etc.
Most equipment these days are 'smart' and will accept either.
