Default Battery - Lead Crystal (Deep Cycle)

A new kid on the block.
Perhaps not new in technology, but new on the market

Unlike the Lead Acids, it can be taken to 0% of charge with near no effects to Battery Life as they have almost no sulphation.

    Specs:

    Works in +65C to -40C99% Recyclable/Greener/Safer
Easy Transport - no special conditions
Faster Recharging - up to twice as fast as Lead Acid
Greater Cyclic Life - 6000 cycles to 20%, over 1600 to 80% DOD
    Reduced Maintenance
High and Low Operating Temperatures: -40゚C to +65゚C
Long Battery Life - up to 18 years float service life
Form, Fit, Function replacement for VRLA, AGM & GEL battery range
Downside is they are a bit $$$$ and very heavy.
Might appeal to the Power Wall builder or Camper.

Price wise they may work out over the longer life span, weight isnt too bad. I have a 145AH SLA in my camper and i think its 43kg so much the same.

These 2 quotes are contradictory, using greater depth of discharge does in fact reduce battery life in those batteries if the spec's are correct.

My BAE SLA's do pretty much the same as the specs,
Remember here you can relate 1 cycle to 1 day of life of the battery.

    Cheers, Tiny
