That's an interesting conumdrum, Loopylou.
Look at the various results from to see if they offer any help.
The .pdf document in the third hit (Wordpress) looks promising, but read all of them.
Hi all, I'm looking for a good (free) software that will allow me to print a pdf document spread over several sheets of paper that I can sticky tape together.
The idea is that some pdf's I use such as electronic schematics need to be zoomed in a lot for clarity and I need them to print the same large size and clarity.
I have an excellent A3 printer for the job but might need to print up to A0 size at times.
I once had the same problem with CAD drawing for a piece of furniture where I needed a full size drawing to use as a template. I converted the drawing to PDF but never managed to print it as I wanted.

Try the Rasterbator. Not sure if it works with a .pdf - you might need to print it to an image, then feed the image to the Rasterbator.

I'm not sure how it would work, My thinking would be to import the file into something like photoshop, Sketchup, or maybe word, and play around with printing from there. Thinking about it, Sketchup might work allowing you to print the zoomed section of the document.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Acrobat and Acrobat reader are two separate items.... the reader is free and Acrobat can be purchased as a single application, or part of various bundled Adobe software suites.
Acrobat is the program used to produce the PDF documents that the free reader reads. In many ways, it's a glorified Word Processor.
