    Default IPTV scanning

Info on how to scan your isp for IPTV services

    Download Simple TV from http://plstonline.org/

extract it to its own folder
best to run it from its own folder

    Click the tv.exe
right click the play window , choose tools, searching channels
enter the i.p range to search and the prefix and other details see attached image

note these are internal i.p range allocated to your isp

    adhoc block 1 224.0.2.0 - 224.0.255.255
    adhoc block 2 224.3.0.0 - 224.4.255.255
    adhoc block 3 233.0.0.0 - 233.255.255.255

Searching those may get results. Results may also depend on if you have IGMP snooping and other options set in your router. To be able to see multicast traffic

    There is another tutorial here

There are some other similar scan tools available here, as the scans are a bit hit and miss.

ports to scan will differ depending on the service..
consider it similar to a blindsearch

I have seen as below somewhere in google no idea if they are valid or not for TPG, but maybe search around that region

    udp://@233.29.121.2:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.3:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.8:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.20:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.27:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.28:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.4:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.6:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.9:1234
    udp://@233.29.121.14:1234

The software requires a variety of .dll files to run and all need to be resident in the tv.exe directory.

I gave up after finding and installing four different .dll's as it still required more.

Yes, that software runs although it is extremely slow to scan...so much so, that as I needed to use my computer for other things, I gave up after an hour of waiting.

Yes the Simpletv needs to be the full version. Try the other tools mentioned such as the preferences menu in the Multicast TV software.

Could probably use nmap to scan for UDP hosts, something like: nmap -sU -p 1234 192.168.1.0/24

Here is another example where i set a spanish UDP proxy as the Prefix, the port was known so search range was limited to just port 8208
