If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
Google seems to think the tyre fitters didn't remove the factory detent washers before fitting the new rims.
Apparently aftermarket rims don't have an indent for them like the factory ones.
To be fair, the tyre fitters wouldn't have known. They have admitted liability though.....
Had to call out a tilt tray on the sat phone....

I managed to pull a stub out of an axle on a trailer in the middle of no where (axle stubs were welded into a length of boiler tubing) The first I knew of it was a tyre overtaking me at a great rate of knots. Fortunately, all I had to do was push it back into place and then travel very carefully the next couple hundred Ks to the nearest community where they welded it up. In your case, the flatbed looks to be the easiest unless you keep spare studs in the toolkit. Actually, to get you out of trouble you could have knocked a stud out of each of the remaining wheels and used them to get you back on all fours again and then limp into town to have it fixed properly.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Reminds me when I lost my back wheel on the Patrol. Glad you were prepared with the Sat phone.

Don't they just hammer out the back?
But you need to take the callipers off etc
Kind of like this
9:11 is a good point in the video for that example
Still, as its probably all under warranty and with road side assist (although i doubt that covers you in the middle of the WA bush)
I'd just make the phone call
Its a lot of jacking and work on each wheel just to limp home

For them to snap like that, they have been over torqued, no doubt been done up and undone numerous times with a rattle gun stretching the crap out of them, did you actually find any detent washers?
nope, first time theyve been off.
I stood there and watched them torque the nuts with a torque wrench.
i drove the vehicle round town for two weeks prior to bush trip.
Checked nuts with a socket and bar, all tight.
bush trip was 140km over very rough road followed by 150km of smooth mine road before studs let go.
the wheels on rams are hubcentric, which means that the hub takes the weight. to do this they are machined to very fine tolerances and must be flush fittted.
the studs and nuts take lateral forces only and are designed to hold the wheel tight against the hub, not take any vertical force.
the standard wheels have an indent round the holes to accommodate the factory fitted detent washers, but aftermarket rims dont.....
the only purpose of the washers is to hold the studs in place while on the manufacturing line.
even though they are around 1mm thick, its enough to stop the rim from flush fitting against the hub, transferring all the vertical load to the studs.
result, well, as you can see.....
the front wheels had 6 washers on studs, the rear only 2.
rears were still tight, other front were all loose.
Owner of the tyre shop has admitted fault, although he had no idea about the washers.
So brand new studs on every corner then?
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
Yes, and one new hub and 2 disc rotors...
