We have installed a few DSC Impassa units in the last few months.
No problems so far and it is totally wireless except power for the main panel
Pricing would depend on what devices you need, but probably a little more than a wired system.
Hi
I am currently renting a house, and need to install an alarm system. I have limited options of fixing anything in place, so was thinking it might be an option to get a wireless system installed. I want a quality system that is not easily overcome. Is this viable for a wireless system? If so, what should I expect to pay?

Modern Wireless alarm are very safe. The security features inbuilt into wireless alarms are now so sophisticated that they really are as safe if not safer than your average hardwired system. The main draw back with wireless has been the battery life in the detectors but many now have a battery life of 8-10 years. It would cost you approx $299 but with a 3 year lock-in contract. and if you do not want to be in a lock-in contract then its approx $900.

kerrys,
You still haven't answered my questions.
You gave specific pricing.
I would like to know exactly what you got for that price.
What model of panel?
How many sensors?
What type of sensors, etc?
Detailed info of the equipment, etc.
Do you supply and install them?
Well i did not give you any specific price. That was a price range. and i was just trying to advice on not to get locked into the contract. Its your choice if you wish to take that advice or not
and I bought Ness R16 and got 2 sensors, 2 detectors and 2 remotes with it. i paid $899
and NO i am not a supplier dear.
