I haven't used one for a while but I seem to remember you have to select HDMI out in the menu.

    Try a factory default reset.

Also check you haven't missed any OTA firmware updates (if you haven't used it for a while).

You might also try an alternate hdmi cable. The 4121 has been known to be flaky with cables, at least in my experience with them.

Thanks tristen I read that thread and all others I found in the forum but to no avail Just to update what happened

The box is in the shed and was working through HDMI perfectly
I changed the tv about 6 months ago and setup a foxtel box and the Vast box and both were working on HDMI. The vast box had no pictures as it needed a card "rehit" but I didnt bother as I was using Foxtel
I had to do a rehit on my vast box in the house recently so I thought I would do the shed box as well, thats when I found I had no picture

I then tried the av and all is working ok, so first swapped fox and vast box in shed cables and sat connection but nothing. I then took the vast box inside using different cables and sat dish etc but still nothing on HDMI

Did factory reset still no go.

    Sounding more like a fault.

These boxes are notorious for dry joints and leaking electro caps.

Dry solder joints are harder to spot, but check out the caps to see if any are bulging or leaking.

Just powered up my old 4121 after more than 6 months, picture & sound still good on HDMI after MyVast hit.
    Cheers, Tiny
