Yes.
No.
Will not be voting.
Self-explanatory Poll. Many people's reasons have already been posted in admin's thread on the topic. Interested in numbers.

I voted no.
Too many cans of worms.
40 years in the Entertainment Industry you meet more than your share of Homosexuals , Male and Female, and from my discussions they do not want this.
They are also questioning who is leading this circus.

If John and Dave choose to get married this weekend, Monday will come and my life will be the same.
I voted yes.

Statistically, if you wait long enough, everything will happen!
Interesting so far. 60% no votes, and numbers not planning to vote close to those planning to vote yes. Austech members may not be completely typical of voters in general, but we would have to be way out to square with some of the poll results spruiked by SSM advocates. Then again, we seem to be a little atypical in that we have some heated discussions and even name calling amongst members with different views but continue to talk with each other, usually civilly.
I wonder how may yes votes were lost by the aggressive over the top attempts to silence debate and avoid a public vote by SSM zealots.

I nominate the highlighted as "The understatement of the year" LOL
I voted yes. Any individual should have the right to marry a partner of their choice (obviously within the legal bounds of age, blood ties, species etc.) and it should free from judgement by others for reasons of religion or social and moral prejudices.
Even between this poll and admin's thread, the numbers don't seem to correlate.
I voted yes.
There seem to be a few more yes votes coming in now. At one stage no's were about two thirds. Now down to 55%. Those intending not to vote are now about 15%.
No

Voting???
Isn't it a Survey?
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.
I missed this and didnt vote just now as the poll is closed (am not going to bother reopening then closing to vote....someone would probably claim I rigged it).
Interesting on TV this morning Jeff Kennett said he did his own small poll on some people at a restaurant and was very surprised to see it come out at around 50/50.
Regardless, the yes vote will win simply because it is not a compulsory plebiscite vote. Labor and the Greens knew that if it went to a compulsory vote, the no vote would likely win. Now they have forced it to a volunteer survey, the yes campaign is now planning to round up uninterested peoples papers to fill in. Which of course is not illegal......if it was a plebiscite it would be electoral fraud, as its a postal survey its now just a joke as to how many papers they can collect to fill out.
Democracy at its worst yet again. Promised a democratic vote via plebiscite (which I would have accepted the result of), blocked by the usual loony left Labor and Greens, forced to a "survey" that is going to be illegally manipulated by the yes socialist radicals.
I will try not to say "told you so" when the yes vote gets up and the same loonies running it then find that they have nothing to do and decide to start more engineering. As I have previously said, its all the same groups each and every time. Remember the carry on last week that the No campaign add was outright lying about schools saying it was ok for boys to wear dresses ? The school claimed the mother was a liar and she had never made a complaint. the education department then advised she made a direct complaint to them. But of course, no apology.
From the Victoria Government approved safe schools program
I think far too many of you think you will never end up with a Socialist left state government like Victoria has.......your turn is coming. And dont be surprised if your kid ends up a basket case because of it.
Honestly
Does anyone even listen to the crap the Governments go on about???
I think they have been eroding their credibility for years now, to the point its all just Lalalalalalalalala no one is listening.
We all have better things to be doing, like just getting on with life.
My partner works as a Teacher, some of the meetings she is made to go to and the topics just make my head spin.
I went to a school where uniforms were NOT compulsory, problem solved!

I would have had no problem trying on some of the girls dresses when I was at High School, I would have had no problem trying their bras and panties on either, just as long as I was there to give them a helping hand at the time to take them off.....

Hmmm I remember you at the Yeomen football clubroom end of year ball, you came dressed in a pink tutu, you jumped on stage grabbed the rope the boys hoisted the rope so you looked like you were flying, but it wasnt a pretty sight when your balls fell out, a lot of those old blokes were devastated, they thought you were an angel
Seems to be a bit of confusion what this 120 millon expensive farce is.
It is nothing else but to get the parliament to do what they normally get highly paid for to do,
and that is to discuss and elect on issues of the humble peasants aka the voters.
This is nothing different to cutting welfare, or stopping boats, or building totally useless subs but we didn't get asked first if the government should discuss and decide about any of that.
And unlike above mentioned issues legalised same sex marriage has no real affect on our lives, it is almost a non-issue.
I would actually bet that many don't even know that most Australian states already accept same sex marriage if it was performed overseas, doh.
So if thepeasantspeople 'vote' yes then parliament will lower themselves to discuss the topic and vote on the matter, which as said, is what they are paid to do and have also been voted to do anyhow, only this time they want to waste an additional 120 million to get their job done.
The decision is still with the parliament and has zero point zilch to do with what the people chose(if it was a yes) and the outcome could still very likely be a no.
They could have just done that without spending 120 million.
This has to be the most pathetic defunct government we ever had and a total embarrassment to anybody observing this.
Either you let the people vote and accept their decision or you just let your elected government who the majority voted decide, just like the all the other civilized countries did.
... but this is actually an insult!
As for the people, street interviews showed the majority doesn't care.
As this thingy (I refuse to call this farce a vote) is not compulsory it would seem likely that large group will just not bother to submit it.
I mean the effort to find a mailbox and post a letter, who does that these days
Those who vote no will most vehemently want their vote counted and that would be the entire right wing voter circle (a very large group) because they think their whole world will end.
That leaves the LGBT community left for the yes vote, a minority, I couldn't be bothered to search for figures but 10% of the population would be really stretching it.
One reason why I WILL bother to vote yes, is if it fails now, this will continue to go on and on for years or decades
Just get it over and done with and move on.

@nomeat I'm sure you have already seen this, given what an avid reader of Andrew Bolt you are, but just in case:
What about the gender neutral toilets I have heard groups are pushing for in other parts of the world, to cater for minority groups who think they associate with another "gender"
