Default L-ion battery discharged / sleeping?

    Hi team,

I have a lithium ion battery that has gone into what I think is a protection state.

Is there a way to wake it up please?

Is there somewhere I can go to get this done?

This is a pic of the battery:

Any help would be appreciated by my young fella

    Cheers,

    Matt

Unless you want it to go up in flames, NO!!!

Unfortunately I can not find an Aussie seller (although all those guys in Darwin are Chinese too):

There might be an issue with import/transport restrictions with lithium batteries over 100Wh even though it is listed that they will send to Australia.
I know the Australia post won't touch them, providing they know about it.

Nothing to fear with li-ion iffen yer knows the rules. If yer Don,t, Don,t touch em!!!! Most faults are from faults in so, called balance systems. Usually, there will be several dead cells but most are still good, but balsys will not allow recharge..Simply Chuck bal circuits to sh hse ,then use good cells.

If they get below about 3V per cell chargers won't recognise them (for safety reasons)
They can be 'woken up' by low constant current charging until the cell voltage is above the normal charger's lower threshold but you need to have a good grasp on what you're doing and the risks

That pack is 10 x 18650 cells in series so it's really not too hard to replace any cell(s) that have failed or even replace them all if they're on the verge of being worn out

absolutely!! However the risk of fire while trying to revive a dead one is not worth the risk.

    Replace it.

read about the risks here >
