    Default Issue with Paradox IP100

I've got an issue with my paradox ip100, got it set correctly as dhcp and have a static route set for it in the router.

All works fine and as it should, until the router loses power..

If the router loses power at any point the IP100 will not reconnect to the network unless its also restarted..

Becomes a bit of a PITA when the alarm systems installed in the roofspace; having to climb up and unplug the IP100 from the serial port and plug it back in every time the router resets

    Any suggestions??

Not a solution, but would unplugging the data cable for the IP100 at the router, then plugging it back in, make it reconnect?
Put the router on a UPS?
