For anyone who is experiencing this.
It's really annoying for technical posts that pics make the difference.
There is a fix/add-on currently available for Chrome browser that bypasses the block so you can see the images.
this link will not do anything constructive unless you open it in Chrome, as it wont show the 'add to chrome' link in the window..
Have not found any add-on for any of the other browsers & it does not work on the other browsers that use Chromium coding, to my knowledge.

Why not just use a different image hosting site?
Eg: postimage or (appropriately) TinyPic?
I have used both of mtv's suggested sites successfully.
Posting is straight forward and some images I posted several years ago are still hosted.
I don't think this is the point Tiny is making
It is in regard to OTHER peoples posts, not his.
It is a very common problem that has only been around the last few months.

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
From reading, it would affect everyone who uses their hosting site.
Basically, they are holding people to ransom, if they wish to access images already stored, either their own or from other people.
It makes the recommendation of using an alternative site even more pertinent.
Pretty useless suggestion when the forum you are reading from 2 or 8 years ago has the images hosted by Photo Bucket
Personally i never used them for hosting, found them far too painful.
And it has been pissing me off the last few months when Googling issues only to find this blocked account thingy instead of the image i was meant to see.

You nailed it there OB, that is precisely my point.
I've never used them either, however many forum posters have & some very informative pictures have been blocked, so it was nice to find a work around until it too gets blocked.
EDIT: & for those that didn't quite get the point, the workaround is for the end user who wants to see the embedded images in the forum posts, not the person who posted the image.
Though I did read that there is a work around for that too, apparently if the image poster edits the image link with an extra phrase in it the image will be unlocked, but that's a lot of work for people to edit links & some forums shut off editing privileges after a couple of days of posting.

Also thanks Tiny
You have solved a major pain in the butt that i hadn't even bothered to looked into yet

Solution available for Firefox as well now.
For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click in search for more add ons & type "photobucket hotlink fix" select and click install.
Same result; all photobucket images embedded in posts on forums become unblocked.

As above for Chrome & FF now, Opera is now catered for;
Menu/Extensions/Get Extensions, search "photobucket hotlink fix", install.
Same result; all photobucket images embedded in posts on forums become unblocked.
