    Sorry, I don't get it.
My world didn't END when it changed.

MY world ends when I cease to exist.

I'd better not watch the news for a few days, then. I often wonder if the world has ended and I missed it, because I forgot to watch the news that day.

The world didn't end/change when I went to bed and woke up next morning either, although there are times when I wished it would, kind of like a reset/reboot, Goundhog Day until we get it right

The world doesn't end it just drifts in and out of the twilight zone....trouble is that the drifts in are getting longer and more laughable.

I don't think the Manchurians blamed US sanctions...they just brought it to a head.

No, they didn't, but Japan attacked Pearl Harbour because the US had placed sanctions on Japan, and Japan retaliated because they could not get the supplies they needed both to live and to continue with their war against Manchuria.

Irrelevant...a vicious expansionist regime was setting out with imperialist intentions to take what they wanted. What were the US to do? Provide the oil and raw materials to help the Japanese conquests I suppose. Had the US done nothing, YOU might have ended up choosing between Japanese restaurants instead of the variety you have now.

Now, back to the topic I think!

Japan invaded Korea, Manchuria and occupied large areas of China long before any sanctions were imposed on them by the 'Western' nations.
England had 'ruled' China and much of Asia since the 1900's (Boxer Rebellion) and the ONLY reason sanctions were implemented was because Japan threatened to take away what the 'West' considered their personal 'Milch Cow'!!!

It was midday before I realised this is the 23rd....................

Yes it's ended, we've moved into the dream time, nothing is real. Except that Malcolm Roberts was a dual citizen when he entered the senate.

The High Court said so, can't get much more Empirical than that.

the 23rd September 2017 & the end of the world ? these dates usually come and pass .....

It was interesting how Donald Trump & Little Rocket Man in North Korea rampted up their insults on each other the last few days ....

a single nuclear exchange between them could have changed the headlines, & a multiple nuclear exchange could have changed history for either one of them, or all of us

This 'end of the world' claims headed me off to the Gramaphone (LP record player???) to hear Tom Lehrer do his 1950's song about the end of the world 67 years ago

Pretty tame compared to the champions of failed Armageddon predictions, the Jehovah's Witnesses. They managed to not successfully predict the end of the world no less than twenty times in the last hundred years. They've stopped now I believe. It was getting embarrassing.

I dunno mate....remember this loon? Marshall Applewhite and his Heavens Gate followers escaped the "wiping and cleansing" of the earth....by suicide.....which freed them to board a spaceship hidden behind Halleys Comet.

He looks rational and believable doesn't he?

We had a clown back in the 70s that claimed that Would have been clever if it did. It would have to travel up the gulf and then perform a right hand turn.
