    Default Recording Live Streams

    Gdday..

I want to start streaming and recording a program on PBS America on the PC. The geo blocking isn't an issue due to my VPN.

What is the best program to record such a stream...free would be ideal, but other options will be considered.

    Cheers

I downloaded several programs from PBS a few weeks ago using youtube-dl-gui v.1.431. It's free.

I can't remember where I got the program from. Sorry.

Your favourite search engine should oblige.

Edit: Just remembered that it came from .

Another one for Tubedigger, I've been using it for years.

    You mean pbsamerica.co.uk ?
These are just Youtube videos, any free plugin for your browser should do the job.
I have been using Video Downloadhelper for probably over a decade and just checked on that site with Firefox and it works fine.
Unfortunately they 'updated' Video Downloadhelper and now the goodies (or should I say the naughties) have disappeared, but for downloading the Youtube stuff it still works fine.
Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.

I'm thinking of streaming and recording the unedited explicit version of Ken Burns new doco "The Vietnam War". This is available to view on pbs.org at

I could purchase the series, but I don't think it's the unedited version.
