Ok, i've just done a serviced on my Van
Then travelled to the middle of NSW to see some family
I thought i'd log my fuel usage, just as a matter of interest to see what effects the servicing had
It had a lot of difference, Van went from 13L/100ks to 11's
BUT...... Then i filled up at the "Metro" service station in Deniliquin, NSW.
(not my choice, the Mrs and i had already noticed no one filling up there for the 30minutes we are dinner, Indian worker at the till)
Drove off at 8pm, No Wind, Flat Straight roads, Driving at 90km/h because of Kangaroos... So essentially i was driving as Economically as one could.
Expecting great results, i noticed my fuel gauge falling like i was in V8 going up and hill in a head wind!
I was at almost half a tank after 224kms!!!!
Could fuel really be that bad???
Here are my logs for the trip.
The 11L/100ks was crossing some hills
The 9L/100 was after i realised my tires were all 10lb under the correct inflation and corrected.
The 15.3L/100ks was after i topped up (perhaps 1/3 a tank) at Deni

i have heard that some servos can be tainted , but you cant prove it without keeping a bowser sample. you could always lodge a complaint with the supplier's head office , they have a way of backtracking deliveries to see if its a widespread issue.
maybe there was some cross contamination with diesel in your case? it can leave a waxy coating on the fuel filter.
Hmmm thats crap mileage, being Indian I wouldnt be at all surprised the fuel is E10 being sold as unleaded, could explain the hike in consumption

Doesn't surprise me.....sounds like e10, maybe even tainted too. We had a local BP garage for years. Twice a week he would go out and take a sample of his fuel and then go and sample at the nearest 4¢ off a litre Woollies outlet and put a jar of each on the counter. The difference in appearance was remarkable.
Years ago, I used to drive the wifes Hyundai Excel into the city to work. I could get 70kms or so more on a tank with brand fuel, and that's mainly city driving. Even though I paid a dollar or two more for a tank, it paid for parking near the door...at least that's what I told myself anyway
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Wow, thats a big difference. And it can only be fuel.
What about the next tank?
Dash.
This is really getting to me,
on the 26/09/2017 you bought 27.71L of fuel @$1.279/L. But the only fuel listed on the sign at that price is Diesel !!

Ok, back from 3000ks of driving (or a normal day for hoe)
Yes, subsequent fill ups returned normal figures
Ironically, my last fuel up last night and the BP on the Melb-Geelong Hwy, also returned crap usage
I noticed it in my right foot, didn't need to use calculations to know
My fill up this morning proved my thoughts.... another lot of crap fuel.
(driving was in NO Wind, in fact there was light fog, dead flat straight roads at 100kph)
On the Metro Service Station thing
I was filling up at Cooma, NSW and asked the lady at the Caltex about the Metro Station's, she said she will not use them at all.
That they are owned by a Lebanese Group, whom also own the BP across the road from her Caltex.
To cut a long story short, in all my driving conditions which included some long straight roads, crossing the Great Divide plenty of times
One of those crossing being Bega to Cooma to Jindi to Thredbo to Kahncoban, which ironically returned a 10.49 l/100 usage, even though you climb a mountain range twice. Lots of 3rd gear work etc.
Then on a flat 200k drive home last night after filling at the BP i get 13.21l/100k...?????
Here is a log after that Fill up at the Metro Service Station.
