Yes, it is DVB-S2 receiver . ABC and SBS multi-stream (Optus D1) and the Nine entertainment (Intelsa19 KU-band) are no longer an issue using this set or perhaps a similar one which supports 16APSK and its SR goes over 47.3MS/s . Cheers

Neither ABC or SBS have listed a Requirement of the new muxes needing DVB S2X. Who's to know they could go NS4 or some other format. Or soley i.p delivered

We are using it in NZ to watch Nine Network on Intlst19 Multi-stream 16APSK since 8 month already (32 Channels) 1m dish is required
Where can you buy one of these STB's ?

Hopefully S2X boxes with the higher s/r will be common and cheaper in the near future. It would be nice to futureproof for a while. Buying a new box every time the technology upgrades can get expensive.

For anyone wondering about S2X. Not to be confused with dvbS2

Is anyone aware of ANY DVBS or DVBS2 transponders still transmitting on D1? No automatic satellite system can lock to the bird anymore without a usable transponder. It doesn't matter what the TP has on it as long as it is transmitted over Australia. None of the auto systems support DVBS2X.

Try 12326v 15000 should get a signal but it won't load.

D1 is alive and well, Unless your receiver or sat meter can read 16APSK, there're no more QPSK TP's on the National beam only NZ beam has QPSK TP's. in saying that if you have a Sat meter with real time spectrum analyser, even an old Satlook, you can still see the TP' spick and align your dish accordingly.

    GIANT Thanks Hazman.
That worked a treat. Exactly as your said. No channels on there but at least the dish can lock again.

Can anyone locate a Horizontal TP that is still active on D1 in either DVBS or DVBS2 for Australia? The vertical one from Hazman works but it would be good if there was a horizontal TP one we could use. They are mentioned on but no symbol rates.
    Thanks

You could use a dual output LNBF, V for tracking. H to receiver.

Hi. Thank you yes. Was just trying to save doing too much hardware changes to the system. If there was a usable H TP it would solve all my problem.
