Default V8 Supercar feeds - Bathurst

    Hi all,

Ive recently dug out my old gear and thought I'd do some feed hunting for the V8's this weekend. It's been a (long) while since I've chased feeds and noticed there is little information for the race this weekend.

I'm way past messing with BISS and don't have a C band setup and was mainly checking old feeds on C1, D3, D2 etc. I haven't tried Optus 10 yet, however given my success so far I don't like my chances.

Any hints / help would be appreciated. I would have thought it would be cheaper to backhaul via satellite from Bathurst than to do it over fibre or microwave?

Thanks - Intelsat is a bit out of reach for me thanks to a few large gum trees. Looks like I’m stuck with FTA.

    Chainsaw 1 - Gum Tree 0....

I'm going to give Intelsat 19 a shot. It'll be a close call with a 65cm dish, but worth a go.

Can anyone assist with freq etc for the V8's please. I'm assuming they are FTA and not BISS encrypted or have I decimated a eucalypt for no good reason .

Thanks - no luck in AU, can see any of the top three transponders.

Appreciate your help, I'll see how the day goes and if anything changes.

I'll go and check my LNB skew just in case, all other IS19 is OK ATM

Something is broken if you can't see them.

Firewire you have a skew issue.
Get out there and teak it.
    Hope this helps next time.

Thanks apsattv & hos here - you are both right.

I'm suspicious of the LNB itself (age) and the skew in general as it was very finicky to adjust.

I have a brand new LNB and will fine tune the setup over the weekend. I'd like to be well prepared for the Newcastle 500 in a few weeks time.

A big thanks for the help and tips guys - its been fun! Let me know if you see any interesting feeds up on IS19, especially V8's.
