Default Bosch Alarm GSM dialler NBN issues

    hi all
spent a fair few hours on this problem and need your help.
so ive had a bosch ICP-CC488 installed for years no problems, installed myself and programmed (with the help of a mate). Set up to dial 2 mobiles when setoff.
along comes NBN and the PTSN disconnection, alarm no longer calls the mobiles, lots of research and its obviously a issue and the easiest way was to buy a dialler. So i bought a NESS 106-249. Still does not work.
Dialler receives and calls out using corded phone no problems but plugged into alarm panel does not. Programming checked on alarm all seems fine numbers are in there as they were before. I have been setting alarm off for a real world condition and using "9" for a test report.
Any help please. Thanks in Advance

Is the alarm dialler lead ok?
On the ness dialler screen you should see the number being dialled on the screen when the alarm panel dialler goes to dial out. Is this happening?
Loc 177 has the dialler enabled?
Have you tried using the Telephone Monitor mode referred to in the manual? See if that might give a clue. To use this feature enter install code + 6 + # to turn this mode on and repeat to turn it off. When it is on try doing a test report by pressing and holding the 9 button until 2 beeps are heard.

    Thanks for the reply mate.
I have tried 3 different leads some with the 2 middle pins connected some with 4 pins connected.
Nothing happens on the dialler screen at all when alarm is set off. When I use a corded phone though plugging into dialler works fine to dial out and receive.
Loc 177 has dialler reporting allowed and bell 103 selected (1+8)
Tried the telephone reporting mode and screen remains as is when a test report is done (Telephone Line Released). this is strange as it worked fine until NBN installed and alarm was not touched until problem discovered??
    LOC 033 set for domestic
    LOC 080 Australian DTMF
Domestic phone numbers double checked and sequence is fine.
Question. will the telephone monitor mode show anything even if the line is disconnected from panel? I have tried it with 1. disconnected 2. voip connected and 3. dialler connected and nothing on any of them
I will solve this if it kills me haha

Hope you have programmed ‘0’ as ‘10’ in the phone numbers.

Maybe the dialler on the alarm board is stuffed.
Can you hear a click on the panel board when it goes to dial?
Telephone monitor will need dialler lead connected at each end. If the zone 1 icon is not coming on first in the test mode seems more of a panel fault.
    Or Default panel and re-program

definitely cant hear the dialer click on the board when sending test report, might disconncent speakers and try alarm trigger later. will try a master reset and a re prog then and i guess if that dont work its a new board

Hi burns66. I've read your post and all of the replies. It seems in the end that all you had to do was disconnect the battery and power down the system for 10 mins.

I take it this was without any changes to the programming?

I'm having a similar problem to yours, though in my case I have a Solution 16 installed that sends SMS's via a gateway. The Alarm system doesn't recognise that the NESS dialler is plugged in. Line Tests fail unless the PSTN line is plugged in.

I'm thinking I should give your solution a try, so before doing so I thought I'd drop you a message just to confirm the above before proceeding.

Cheers, hope to hear from you soon. :-)

I don't think the sms option will work with the ness dialler, only for dialling phones and not sms gateways. But should do the domestic dialling option in the alarm programming.
