Yes
No
Unsure
A fair question I think. As an example :
You wont find many 190cm and 100 kg womens players, and lets be realistic, this height and weight was gained and grown as a male and not a female.
I am not advocating a Yes or No vote, just curious as to what others think and whether they think there is a genuine advantage.

For what it's worth, I voted no.
I just think the advantage is too big.

Voted no. They are gender sports or non gender sports....the physical advantage would be huge I would think.
Hasn't it happened with tennis? Renee Richards is a name that springs to mind.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

I voted no for the same reason.
The principle is the same as using steroids IMHO.
The advantage of the height, weight and strength are not naturally developed as a female.

Changing Gender is mostly cosmetic and does not suddenly increase a previous Female into a Male of similar age nor reduce a previous Male to a Female of that age so I would have to say NO in this situation.
I have no objection to the now same Gender competing against each other in any form of Sport.
MTV's posting says it all.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
Saw that this morning
Figured it is only going to be the first of many, so really, its just a joke
Been happening anyway no doubt.
I suppose they might make a rule you have to compete as your "birth sex"
That makes it simple
But, the Equal Rights brigade will have it the other way

I voted yes.
The Fremantle Dockers need all the help they can get.

Voted No.
I wonder if it would be different, if we had a 50kg female, that identifies as a male and wants to compete in archery?

Yes I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
If want true equality there should be NO gender specific sports. If a girl wants to line up for Collingwood, she should be allowed to, same holds true for transgender people. People should be allowed to play, based upon their ability, not their sex.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Interesting that from news.com.au the AFL used an exemption under Victoria's Anti Discrimination laws.
Watch how fast Daniel Andrews changes that !

Interesting this Transgender
So is it the same rules for someone that had a sex change like we'd hear about in the 1980's?
The IOC actually test to see if you have XX or XY chromosomal makeup so you compete in the correct division.
Which then of course, leads to steroids!
To just rock up one day and say you define as a girl to compete in say Women's Surfing is total BS.
I guess this is what Transgender is
To have undergone a sex change and hormone replacement therapy.... That is interesting one.
