WD40 will dry out over a short time. Try Inox MX4 Lanox, great stuff !!
Hi all, Is there a product that will soften/rejuvenate the noisy top strut seals. It's been pieving me off for a while now. The research I've done has pointed to Vinal restrorer. I've tried WD 40, ok for a few days. Any help for a more permanent solution would bloody good. Cheers.

Bought Inox MX4 Lanox & sprayed a heap of it on the strut shaft then left it overnight, still had the noise tho not as bad. more spray a couple of nights later, same result.
2 questions # are the seals able to be replaced? # I remember a few years ago you were able to get a seal softening product for ie engine mains seals. Are they still available, i asked superthingo & got a blank look
Nulon stop oil leak has seal swell.
Meant STP.

I was thinking of removing them so you could give them a good dose of some lubricant but on reflection, if your taking them out, you might as well do the job properly and replace them with New ones as it sounds like the old are stuffed anyway.....
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
You could try graphite grease, but to me sound like they are expired and need replacing
